When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

I've been reading quite a few Redwall novels over the break (High Rhulian, Taggerung, Mattimeo, etc.) Redwall books hold a special place in my heart, they were the books that helped pulled me from illiteratcy (I could barely read until I was 12) Whenever I want to return to the magic of discovering the wonders of reading I fall back to these books.
 I always wanted to create a portrait of an old battlescarred Long Patrol Hare warrior (here I threw in a study of the mad hare Cuthbert Frunk W. Bloodpaw from High Rhulian) Also, there are the young lovers Tarquin and Hon Rosie from Mariel of Redwall, here Tarquin is reciting one of his many (sometimes poorly written) love ballads to Hon Rosie (who is recovering from a battle, it is good to note that she has an ear splitting laugh). Those two characters have always been quite charming to me ^^ Also in the mix is a study sketch of the otter maid Tiria Wildough from High Rhulian, next to hares I love drawing otters the most. I do have hedgehogs, mice, squirrels and others on the way ^^ |
